September’s Child

September’s Child was a hard-hitting touring rock band that made waves in the regional music circuit. Known for their high-energy live performances and melodic rock sound, the band spent years touring and building a dedicated following.
A defining chapter of the band’s history was their lineup featuring guitarist James “Jazz” Byers, whose sharp guitar work helped shape their sonic identity during his tenure. Following his time with September’s Child, Byers went on to play with other prominent regional acts, including the touring group Fat Tuesday and the Pittsburgh-based rock band The Monophonics.
Though the members eventually moved on to other projects, September’s Child remains a memorable part of the regional rock landscape and a foundational piece of Byers’ long-standing career in the music industry.
